A distinguished event honoring New Hampshire's Korean War Heroes will take place at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery on March 8th. The Silent Heroes: Untold Stories from the Korean War ceremony will celebrate the incredible service and sacrifice of Korean War veterans, many of whose stories have yet to be heard. Led by Sierra Dolce, a Social Studies teacher at Bedford High School, and her students, this special event is part of the Veterans Legacy Program. Students have dedicated months to researching and preparing heartfelt eulogies for select Korean War veterans, and these tributes will be shared during the ceremony. This event is especially significant as two women veterans, SSG Patricia A. Dawe and AIC Phyllis B. Crowley will be the very first Korean War veterans honored at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery. These heroic women will now be forever remembered, marking an important moment in history. Thanks to Richard Marsh, who has kindly volunteered to record the eulogies, these important stories will be preserved for future generations.
